Andrew Ironside

South Etobicoke Youth Outreach Coordinator

From large-scale programs to informal run-ins at the coffee shop – and everything in between – Andrew’s heart is to follow the example of Jesus and serve his community well.

In the spring and summer, his primary role is to plan and oversee the Lakeshore Soccer League, a grassroots program for 200 kids in South Etobicoke. He is also responsible for recruiting and training 30 volunteer coaches, numerous student referees, and an additional 30 High School student leaders as part of the Leaders in Training Program.

During the fall and winter, Andrew’s responsibilities include running an after-school soccer program, community support for youth and families, and fundraising for the programs.

As part of his role, Andrew also works in partnership with Capstone Church to come alongside individuals and families in various capacities of care and community.

Andrew and his wife Stephanie live in South-Etobicoke, and have two young kids. Most importantly, Andrew and Stephanie are (long-suffering) fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and hope to one day celebrate a Stanley Cup Parade.

Stephanie Ironside

Etobicoke Young Moms Program Leader

Having experienced both the joys and struggles of being a mother, Stephanie is passionate about being able to journey with pregnant and parenting youth (15-25). Her desire is to create a village and place of care and safety for these young women, in what can be a very isolating time in their life.

Stephanie also brings to this role a wealth of personal experience in youth work, as well as her degree in Social Work from Ryerson University.

Ultimately, her hope is to connect young moms with meaningful community that will enrich all aspects of their lives, and build confidence in who they are as loved children of God.

Stephanie lives in Etobicoke with her husband Andrew, and their two children.
